Synopsis:

Flynn stars as Peter Blood, a young doctor injustly condemned for treating rebels and sentenced to slavery. The beautiful niece of a brutal plantation owner. Arabella (de Havilland) buys him from the slave ship, but Blood and his mates eventually escape and begin a career of piracy-gallantly fighting off adversaries on the open sea. After a strange twist of events, Arabella meets Peter Blood again and finds her fate in the hands of the now-notorious pirate.
